Important: The application fees can only be paid by personal check or money order made payable to U.S. Department of State.
On June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry must have a passport or passport card. For more information on passport cards and passport books please refer to the US Department of State website.
A passport book is required for any person traveling by air outside of the United States. The passport will be requested upon entering or re-entering the United States.

The passport card can be used at U.S. land and sea ports-of-entry when arriving from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. The card may not be used to travel by air.
